Author Guidelines

The journal issues are mainly monographs. The topic of each issue is announced some months before publication. Authors who want to submit an article should follow the editorial rules. Teoria publishes articles in the main European languages. All articles are peer-reviewed. As soon as the evaluation is received, the author will be informed.

The submission file must be anonymous. Do not include references that reveal or point to the author’s identity.

Submission structure

The submission file ought to include:

  • Article title (subtitle allowed)
  • Article body (7000-8000 words)
  • English title
  • English abstract (+ / - 150 words)
  • English keywords

Long quotations (of more than 3 lines) should be set off from the text (in a separate paragraph) and indented from the margin. Do NOT use quotation marks for long quotations. Apply a smaller font size.

All submitted articles should adhere to the journal citation style upon submission. Authors whose submission is accepted for publication commit to strictly adhere to the journal citation style and make all required changes prior to publication.

Authors will have the chance to proofread galleys at least once prior to publications.

Peer-review process

Through the peer review process, reviewers assist the Editor-in-Chief and the Editorial Board in making decisions about submitted papers. The Scientific Committee plays a role in ensuring the scientific and international character of the journal. The Editorial Board assigns reviewers and manages the entire review process and any desk rejections. It knows the identity of authors and reviewers. For this reason, no member of the Editorial Board serves as a reviewer. The Editorial Board also checks that there are no conflicts of interest, such as relatives up to the third degree, with the authors of papers submitted to the journal. The selection of papers is carried out in two stages. The first stage is the evaluation of the abstracts. At this stage, the editors make use of the possibility of engaging reviewers for double-blind peer review. The practice of peer review helps the editors to make editorial decisions and, through editorial communication with the author, may also help the author to improve his/her abstract.

In the second stage, the articles are re-evaluated by double-blind peer review. Reviewers are expected to make suggestions to authors on how to improve their contributions. The reviewers give their opinion on the quality of the paper by filling in the appropriate evaluation grid. The result of the selection will be communicated to the authors by the Editorial Board via e-mail.
